Delta United secure Egypt youngster Amir Alaa from Al Ahly

Egyptian left-back Amir Alaa has joined Delta United from Al Ahly U21 on a free transfer, completing his move to the Egyptian club on 15 August 2026.

Aged 19, Alaa arrives as a defender who operates on the left side and prefers his left foot. His move takes him directly from Al Ahly’s under-21 squad to Delta United, where he will continue his career at senior club level.

Alaa spent the previous two seasons within Al Ahly’s youth structure. He moved from Al Ahly U19 to Al Ahly U21 on 1 September 2024, before leaving the club for Delta United at the start of the 2026-27 season.

The transfer brings an end to his time in the Al Ahly system, where he progressed through two age-group sides. His latest move was completed without a transfer fee, with Delta United confirming the arrival of the Egyptian defender for the new campaign.

Born on 20 August 2006, Alaa has made the switch shortly before his 20th birthday. His arrival gives Delta United a young, left-footed option in the full-back position and adds a player with recent experience in Al Ahly’s under-21 setup.

The move was recorded on 15 August, the same date on which Alaa joined Delta United. He now becomes part of the club’s squad after progressing from youth football at Al Ahly to a new chapter with his new side.
