Raymond Gyamfi begins new chapter with Shirak Gyumri in Armenia

Ghanaian midfielder Raymond Gyamfi has joined Armenian Premier League club Shirak Gyumri, completing his move on 14 August 2026.

The transfer places the midfielder in Armenia’s top flight, where Shirak Gyumri are competing in the 2026-27 Premier League season. Gyamfi is listed as a midfielder and has been added to the club’s first-team squad.

Gyamfi has already made one league appearance for Shirak this season. He came off the bench rather than starting, recording 30 minutes on the pitch without scoring or providing an assist.

His early involvement also includes no yellow cards, second yellows or red cards. The appearance represents his first recorded contribution to Shirak’s current Premier League campaign.

The move gives Gyamfi a fresh opportunity in Armenian football after his previous club was not recorded. He joins Shirak without a publicly stated transfer fee, while the length of his agreement with the club has not been disclosed.

Shirak Gyumri, also known as FC Shirak Gyumri, are competing in the Premier League, and Gyamfi’s arrival adds Ghanaian representation to their midfield options. His role is recognised primarily in central midfield, with his first league outing coming during the opening stage of the new campaign.

The 2026-27 season has begun with Gyamfi involved in the squad, although his initial appearance came as a substitute. He has played in one of Shirak’s possible league matches so far and has not yet registered a goal or assist.

Gyamfi’s move was recorded on 14 August, and he has now started his spell with the Armenian club. His first appearance came during the same campaign in which he completed the switch, giving him an immediate introduction to Premier League football in Armenia.

The Ghanaian midfielder is now a Shirak Gyumri player, with one league appearance already to his name.
