Zakari Amodu switches to Daugavpils in Latvian move

Nigeria striker Zakari Amodu has joined Latvian club Daugavpils from Final Touch FA, completing a move that takes the 18-year-old into Virsliga football.

Amodu’s transfer was completed on 14 August 2026, with Daugavpils adding the young forward to their squad during the 2026-27 season. He is listed as a striker and represents the latest step in his early career after leaving Final Touch FA.

Born on 14 July 2008, Amodu joins the Latvian side shortly after turning 18. His arrival gives Daugavpils another attacking option as the club competes in Latvia’s Virsliga and the Latvian Cup.

The Nigerian forward has yet to make an appearance for Daugavpils in the Latvian Cup this season. The club’s 2026 campaign in that competition has so far included one possible fixture, with Amodu recorded as having made no appearance, start or contribution.

His move from Final Touch FA marks a change of footballing environment, taking him from a Nigerian club to a side competing in Latvia. Daugavpils will now be the club with which Amodu begins his record in European domestic football.

The transfer also comes at an early stage of his development. At 18, Amodu joins the Latvian club with his senior career still in its opening phase, and his position as a central attacking player provides a clear role within the Daugavpils squad.

No contract duration has been specified, and the move is recorded simply as Amodu leaving Final Touch FA to join Daugavpils. His arrival was registered on 14 August, ahead of the continuation of the 2026-27 campaign.

Amodu is now a Daugavpils player after completing his switch from Final Touch FA.
