CD Algar sign Morocco winger Nizar Saaliti after Valdepenas exit
Morocco winger Nizar Saaliti has joined CD Algar from Valdepenas on a free transfer, giving the club a new left-footed option on the right side of attack.
Saaliti, 24, completed the move on 14 August 2026 after spending the previous part of his career with Valdepenas. He had joined the Spanish club from FC Marokko on 31 January 2026, also as a free agent, before making his latest switch to CD Algar.
The Marrakech-born player is listed as a right winger and stands 1.80m tall. His preferred left foot allows him to operate from the right flank, while his arrival adds further experience of moving between clubs without a transfer fee.
Saaliti began his senior career with Berkane Reserve after leaving KAC Marrakech’s youth set-up in August 2021. He later represented FUS Espoirs, Ben Guerir, Najm Midar and FC Marokko before moving abroad to join Valdepenas. Every recorded move in that sequence was completed without a fee.
His honours include a Moroccan cup winner’s medal with Renaissance de Berkane in the 2021-22 season. That achievement came during the early stage of his senior career, before his subsequent spells with FUS Espoirs and the clubs that followed.
Saaliti has also recorded two appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi, playing a total of 24 minutes. His listed career record includes no goals or assists in that competition, while he has also been included in records covering the Excellence Cup, CAF Confederation Cup and Coupe du Trone Marocaine.
CD Algar’s new signing arrives with experience from both Moroccan and Spanish football and joins a club where he will be contracted through the end of June 2027. His move follows a short spell at Valdepenas and continues a career marked by regular changes of club on free transfers.
Saaliti’s contract with CD Algar runs until 30 June 2027.
