Moussa Diakite joins C. Rizespor as Mali midfielder moves from Cadiz
Mali midfielder Moussa Diakite has joined C. Rizespor from Cadiz CF on loan, becoming the latest addition to the Turkish Super Lig club’s squad.
The 22-year-old central midfielder has moved to Turkiye after progressing through Cadiz’s system and making senior appearances in both LaLiga2 and Spain’s fourth tier. His loan agreement runs until 30 June 2027, when he is scheduled to return to Cadiz.
Diakite made 58 appearances in LaLiga2, scoring four goals, while also recording 65 appearances and two assists in the Segunda Federacion. He made three Copa del Rey appearances and featured for one minute in LaLiga during his time with Cadiz.
The move takes Diakite into a new league after more than four years in the Cadiz structure. He joined Cadiz’s under-19 side from Malian club Etoiles Mande in January 2022 before moving up to Cadiz B later that year. In January 2025, he progressed from the reserve side to Cadiz’s senior squad.
Born in Bamako, Diakite is a Mali international-profile midfielder whose senior career to date has been based in Spain. He is listed at 1.89m and operates primarily in central midfield, offering C. Rizespor a player with experience across several levels of the Spanish game.
Cadiz retain the player while he spends the 2026-27 campaign with C. Rizespor. The Turkish club’s move gives Diakite the opportunity to continue his career in the Super Lig, while his scheduled return keeps him tied to the Spanish club beyond the loan period.
The transfer was completed on 14 August 2026, with Moussa Diakite joining C. Rizespor on loan from Cadiz until 30 June 2027.
