Hajer add Ghana forward Albert Amoah after Al-Ahly departure

Ghana centre-forward Albert Amoah has joined Hajer, moving from Libyan club Al-Ahly to continue his career in Saudi Arabia’s Saudi First Division League.

The 24-year-old completed the move on 14 August 2026 after ending his time with Al-Ahly, where he had returned in June following a loan spell at Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko.

Amoah’s arrival gives Hajer a striker with experience across domestic and continental competition. He has recorded 22 goals in 56 Premier League appearances, while also scoring twice in four CAF Confederation Cup matches. His record in the Libyan Premier League stands at five appearances.

The forward began the 2025-26 season with Al-Ahly before joining Asante Kotoko on loan on 12 January 2026. That arrangement concluded on 30 June, bringing him back to the Libyan club before his move to Hajer was completed.

Amoah joined Al-Ahly from Asante Kotoko in October 2025, having initially moved to the Ghanaian club from Great Olympics in July 2024. His latest switch represents another change of league for a player whose recent career has included football in Ghana and Libya.

Born on 3 January 2002, Amoah is listed as a centre-forward and holds Ghanaian nationality. Hajer will now become the latest club in his senior career as he takes up a new challenge in Saudi Arabia.
