Cyril Ngonge: Napoli winger linked with Monza move after return from loan

Cyril Ngonge, the Belgian-DR Congo winger currently at Napoli, has been linked with a move to Serie A club Monza.

The 26-year-old returned to Napoli in June after spending the 2025-26 season on loan, initially with Torino before moving to Spanish side Espanyol in January. He joined Napoli from Hellas Verona in January 2024 in a deal worth €20m.

Ngonge has made 84 Serie A appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists. He was part of Napoli’s Italian championship-winning squad in the 2024-25 season.

His return to the club comes amid reported interest from Monza, who would be looking to recruit a player with experience in Italy’s top flight. Ngonge’s current market value is listed at €7m, although no transfer fee has been reported in connection with the rumoured move.

The left-footed wide player began his senior career in Belgium before spells in the Netherlands with RKC Waalwijk and Groningen. He also spent part of the 2019-20 season with PSV’s under-21 side before establishing himself in senior football.

Ngonge remains under contract with Napoli until 30 June 2028.
