Al-Madina add Abde Damar as Zamora winger begins Libyan Premier League loan

Morocco winger Abde Damar has joined Al-Madina from Spanish club Zamora CF on loan, becoming the latest player to move into the Libyan Premier League for the 2026-27 season.

The 26-year-old left winger’s move was completed on 13 August 2026 and runs until 30 June 2027. Damar will return to Zamora when the loan ends, with the Spanish club retaining his registration.

Damar moves to Libya after a short spell with Zamora, whom he joined from Unionistas CF on 27 January 2026 in a €100,000 transfer. He had previously spent the opening part of the 2025-26 campaign with Unionistas after arriving from CF Fuenlabrada on a free transfer in September 2025.

The Morocco-born player, who is from Nador, has established his career in Spain’s lower divisions. He has also represented UD Ibiza, CE Sabadell, RCD Espanyol B and Atletico Madrid’s reserve side, while beginning his senior development with UE Cornella.

Damar has recorded 26 goals and seven assists across 205 appearances in the Spanish league and promotion competitions listed during his career. His strongest return came in Primera Federacion, where he scored 10 times in 55 appearances and supplied three assists.

A right-footed attacker who operates from the left side, Damar arrives at Al-Madina with experience of Spain’s third and fourth tiers. His move places him in the Libyan Premier League for the first time.

The transfer also represents a new stage in a career that has included both permanent moves and temporary spells. Damar joined Espanyol B from Atletico Madrileno on loan in 2021 before returning to the Madrid club the following year, and later moved permanently between several Spanish sides.

Al-Madina have secured the services of the 1.72m winger for the duration of the 2026-27 campaign, while Damar’s contract arrangement with the club is set to run until 30 June 2027. He has now completed his switch from Zamora to Al-Madina on a season-long loan.
