Nabil Khali switches Moroccan clubs as KACM Marrakech complete free-transfer signing
French-Moroccan left-back Nabil Khali has joined KACM Marrakech from Wydad AC on a free transfer, completing a move that keeps the 28-year-old in Morocco’s Botola Pro Inwi.
Khali’s transfer was completed on 13 August 2026 after he left Wydad, whom he joined at the start of 2026. He has moved between the two clubs without a transfer fee, with KACM becoming the latest destination in a career that has included spells in France, Slovenia and Moldova.
The defender was born in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, France, and holds French and Moroccan nationality. Standing 1.81m tall, he is a left-footed specialist at left-back.
Khali joined Wydad after leaving FC Milsami Orhei as a free agent. His time with the Moldovan club included a first-place finish in the Moldavian championship in the 2024-25 season, the only senior honour recorded in his career.
Before his move to Wydad, Khali made a significant contribution in European and domestic competition with Milsami. He played in Champions League qualifying and the Uefa Europa Conference League qualifying rounds, making eight appearances and providing three assists in the latter competition. He also registered appearances in Moldova’s Super Liga and Moldovan Cup.
His career record includes 22 Super Liga appearances with three goals and three assists, while he added four goals and four assists during the second phase of the competition. He also played 25 times in Serbia’s Prva Liga, scoring once and supplying one assist.
Khali’s route to senior football began in France. He spent time with OGC Nice B after coming through Nizza’s Under-19 side, then represented Saint-Nazaire and Avoine OCC before moving abroad. He joined Slovenian club Tabor Sezana in July 2022 on a free transfer, later leaving the club before spending time without a club.
His most recent recorded involvement in Morocco’s top flight came with 12 Botola Pro Inwi appearances, totalling 646 minutes. The move to KACM Marrakech now gives him another opportunity to continue his career in the same division.
Khali has therefore completed his free transfer from Wydad AC to KACM Marrakech.
