Mahmoud Gamal joins Golden Gate as Egypt forward completes free transfer

Egypt centre-forward Mahmoud Gamal has joined Golden Gate from G Football Club on a free transfer, completing his move to the Egyptian club on 12 August 2026.

The 25-year-old arrives after spending the past two seasons with G Football Club, whom he joined as a free agent in October 2024. Gamal’s switch to Golden Gate brings a new chapter to a career that has included spells with several Egyptian youth sides.

Gamal made three Egypt Cup appearances before leaving G Football Club, scoring twice and playing 225 minutes in the competition. His goals came at an average of one every 113 minutes, while he is listed as a right-footed centre-forward.

The Cairo-born player began his recorded career with Petrojet Under-23s before moving to Wadi Degla Under-21s in July 2015. He then joined Pyramids FC Under-21s in July 2019 on another free transfer, remaining there until July 2023.

After leaving Pyramids, Gamal spent more than a year without a club before signing for G Football Club. His latest move means Golden Gate become the third senior club in his recent career, following his time with G Football Club and his period outside professional football.

Gamal’s arrival gives Golden Gate a centre-forward with recent Egyptian Cup experience and an established pathway through the country’s youth sides. He has been registered as a Golden Gate player since 12 August 2026.

The move is a free transfer from G Football Club to Golden Gate, with no fee disclosed because no transfer payment was involved.
