Ahmed Gouda switches to Dayrout SC after Aswan SC exit
Egyptian centre-back Ahmed Gouda has joined Dayrout SC from Aswan SC on a free transfer.
Gouda, 35, completed the move on 12 August 2026, beginning the latest chapter of a senior career spent entirely in Egyptian football. The right-footed defender stands 1.84m tall and moves to Dayrout after one season with Aswan.
His transfer to Aswan was also completed as a free transfer, with Gouda arriving from Proxy FC on 10 July 2025. He had joined Proxy the previous season from El Sekka SC, also without a transfer fee, following a move from Qanah in August 2023.
Gouda’s career record includes 96 appearances in the Egyptian Premier League, along with eight appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup. He has also played in the Egypt Cup, the Egyptian League Cup and the Egyptian Super Cup.
The defender began the 2021-22 season with Qanah before moving to Eastern Company on loan in January 2022. That spell ended later the same year, when he returned to Qanah. His earlier clubs include Petrojet, FC Masr, El Masry, El Dakhlia and El Nasr Tadeen.
Gouda joined Petrojet from FC Masr on a free transfer in November 2020, after moving to FC Masr from El Masry the previous season. His time at El Masry followed a loan spell with El Dakhlia during the 2018-19 campaign, while he had initially joined El Masry from El Nasr Tadeen.
Across the competitions recorded in his career, Gouda has contributed one assist, which came in the Premier League. His experience includes domestic league football as well as appearances in continental competition.
Dayrout have now added an experienced Egyptian defender to their squad, with Gouda’s arrival marking his latest free-transfer move after a series of changes between clubs in the Egyptian game.
The move was completed on 12 August, and Ahmed Gouda is now a Dayrout SC player.
