Konyaspor show interest in Lecce midfielder Mohamed Kaba

Mohamed Kaba, the Guinea-France midfielder at Lecce, has been linked with a move to Konyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 24-year-old central midfielder remains under contract with the Serie A club until 30 June 2027, meaning any potential transfer would need to be agreed before his deal expires. No fee or probability has been reported for the proposed move.

Kaba joined Lecce from Valenciennes in August 2023 in a €3 million transfer. He spent the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at FC Nantes, with the loan ending on 30 June 2026 and the player returning to Lecce.

His career in Italy includes 53 Serie A appearances, while he previously played 67 times in Ligue 2 for Valenciennes, scoring five goals and providing eight assists. He has also made 12 Ligue 1 appearances and featured in both the Italy Cup and Coupe de France.

Kaba was born in Orleans, France, on 27 October 2001 and is listed as holding both Guinean and French nationality. He is right-footed and stands 1.85m tall.

Lecce have not indicated that the player is available for transfer, while the reported interest from Konyaspor remains at the rumour stage. His existing contract with Lecce runs through the end of June 2027.
