Kawkab Marrakech reject Slovan Liberec offer for Moroccan goalkeeper Mohamed Jemjami

Kawkab Marrakech have rejected a loan proposal from Czech club FC Slovan Liberec for Moroccan goalkeeper Mohamed Jemjami, with the offer including an option to make the transfer permanent.

The Czech side’s proposal failed to meet the expectations of Kawkab Marrakech’s management, who have maintained a firm position over the future of their goalkeeper amid growing transfer interest.

The latest rejection is another indication that the Marrakech club are not prepared to allow Jemjami to leave easily.

Kawkab Marrakech have reportedly placed a €500,000 valuation on the goalkeeper for a permanent transfer. That asking price has already complicated discussions with Wydad Athletic Club, who are monitoring the situation closely.

Wydad are considering Jemjami as a potential replacement for El Mehdi Benabid, whose move to the Saudi league is increasingly likely.

The Casablanca club’s interest has been influenced by Jemjami’s performances during the 2025/26 season, when the goalkeeper established himself as an important player for Kawkab Marrakech.

Jemjami made 28 appearances across all competitions last season, including 26 matches in Botola Pro Inwi and two in the Throne Cup.

He played a total of 2,550 minutes during the campaign.

In the league, Jemjami conceded 23 goals in his 26 appearances while recording nine clean sheets.

His two Throne Cup appearances accounted for another 210 minutes, during which he conceded three goals.

Those numbers have helped increase the attention surrounding the Moroccan goalkeeper, with his performances now attracting interest from clubs outside Morocco.

Slovan Liberec’s approach represents another indication of the growing demand for Jemjami, although their proposal was not enough to persuade Kawkab Marrakech to sanction his departure.

The Marrakech club’s decision does not necessarily mean that Jemjami is unavailable for transfer.

Instead, the rejection suggests that Kawkab Marrakech want to remain in control of negotiations and secure terms that match their expectations before considering a departure.

Wydad remain interested and continue to monitor developments surrounding the goalkeeper.

However, if Kawkab Marrakech maintain their €500,000 asking price, Wydad could turn their attention towards other possibilities.

One alternative being considered by the Casablanca club is a foreign goalkeeper who is already playing in the Moroccan league.

Jemjami’s future therefore remains unresolved, with interest continuing to build around the 2025/26 campaign’s Kawkab Marrakech goalkeeper.

For now, Kawkab have made their position clear by rejecting Slovan Liberec’s proposal and refusing to rush into a deal.

The goalkeeper remains at the centre of transfer interest, but Kawkab Marrakech’s stance means any club hoping to sign him will have to meet the conditions set by the Moroccan side.
