Wydad Athletic Club coach Sergio Paulo has accepted responsibility for his side’s goalless draw against Meknes Club in the third round of Morocco’s National Professional Championship.

The result left both sides level on four points, with Meknes occupying fifth place and Wydad sitting eighth on goal difference.
Wydad fail to turn chances into goals
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Sergio Paulo said his players had delivered a good performance but lacked the finishing touch in front of goal.
The Wydad coach said he made several substitutions in an attempt to increase his team’s attacking threat and improve the group’s physical intensity.
However, the changes failed to produce a breakthrough, leaving the Casablanca club frustrated after dropping two points.
Sergio Paulo accepts responsibility
Sergio Paulo acknowledged his responsibility for the result and pledged to work on the team’s weaknesses ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
The coach’s comments followed a match in which Wydad created opportunities but were unable to find a way past their opponents.
He expressed regret at missing the chance to claim all three points and stressed the need to address the team’s shortcomings to avoid further dropped points.
Both sides remain level on points
