Helges IF bring Nigerian winger John Junior Igbarumah into Swedish ranks

Nigerian winger John Junior Igbarumah has joined Swedish club Helges IF, strengthening their attacking options with an experienced right-sided player.

The 34-year-old completed the move on 11 August 2026 after previously being without a club. Igbarumah’s arrival gives Helges IF a senior presence in the wide areas, where he operates primarily as a right winger.

Born on 13 February 1992, Igbarumah stands at 1.65m and represents Nigeria. His move to Helges IF marks his return to club football after a period without a team.

Igbarumah’s preferred position is on the right flank, placing him in a role focused on providing width and supporting the attack. Helges IF are based in Sweden, where the Nigerian becomes part of the club’s squad for the 2026 campaign.

The transfer was registered on 11 August, with Igbarumah now listed as a Helges IF player. No contract expiry date has been announced.
