Emrick Fotsing: Vancouver FC midfielder linked with MLS move to Vancouver
Emrick Fotsing, the Canada-and-Cameroon midfielder at Vancouver FC, is rumoured to be a target for Vancouver.
The proposed move would take the 18-year-old central midfielder from the Canadian Premier League to Major League Soccer, with the two clubs listed as his current and potential destinations respectively. The transfer has not been confirmed.
Fotsing joined Vancouver FC on 11 February 2025 and remains under contract until 31 December 2027. His current market value is listed at €200,000.
Born in Mascouche, Quebec, on 27 September 2007, Fotsing holds Canadian and Cameroonian nationality. He is 1.80 metres tall and favours his right foot.
The reported link places him with Vancouver, the MLS club, while he is currently registered with Vancouver FC. The clubs are based in the same Canadian city but compete in different divisions of the country’s professional football structure.
Fotsing’s contractual position means any move would involve an agreement between the clubs rather than a free transfer. No fee or probability has been established for the rumour.
For now, Fotsing remains a Vancouver FC player, with his contract running through the end of the 2027 season.
