Lamine Camara: Nottingham Forest linked with Monaco midfielder

Senegalese midfielder Lamine Camara is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with a move from Monaco to Nottingham Forest.

The 22-year-old central midfielder joined Monaco on 30 July 2024 and remains under contract with the Ligue 1 club until 30 June 2029. His current market value is listed at €40m.

Camara, who was born in Diouloulou, Senegal, plays in central midfield and is right-footed. He has represented Senegal and won the African Nations Championship with the national team in the 2022-23 edition.

The reported interest would see Camara move from France’s top flight to the Premier League, with Nottingham Forest named as the club linked with his signing. No transfer fee or probability has been specified, and the rumour does not indicate that negotiations have reached an advanced stage.

Camara also won the Under-20 Africa Cup with Senegal in 2023, scoring twice during the tournament. He joined Monaco with a long-term deal and has three years remaining on his current contract after the 2025-26 season.

For now, Camara remains a Monaco player, with his contract running through June 2029.
