Smouha re-sign Fady Farid from Al Ittihad Alexandria on two-year deal

Smouha have completed an agreement with Al Ittihad Alexandria to bring back forward Fady Farid on a two-year contract, according to FilGoal.com.

The 29-year-old will return to Smouha after spending the past two seasons with Al Ittihad Alexandria. His move marks a reunion with the club he left two seasons ago to join Al Ittihad Alexandria.

Farid made 60 appearances for Al Ittihad Alexandria during his two-year spell, scoring nine goals and providing two assists. He had previously played 33 matches for Smouha during his first period with the club, registering eight goals and two assists.

The agreement between the two clubs has now been completed, with Farid set to begin another spell at Smouha as they prepare for the 2026-27 Egyptian Premier League season.

Smouha are due to open their league campaign against Al Masry at New Suez Stadium. Farid’s return gives the club an experienced attacking option ahead of the new season, while also bringing back a player who has already contributed 10 goals and assists in his previous 33 appearances for Smouha.

Farid’s move to Al Ittihad Alexandria came two seasons ago, when he left Smouha after his initial spell. Since then, he has featured regularly for his former club, playing 60 matches and contributing nine goals and two assists.

Smouha’s preparations for the new campaign will now include the return of Farid, who has agreed to remain with the club for the next two seasons. The Egyptian Premier League season begins with Smouha’s meeting with Al Masry at New Suez Stadium.
