Al Ahly complete Spain preparations ahead of Badalona friendly
Al Ahly have completed their latest training session at their preparation camp in Spain as they continue preparations for Wednesday’s friendly against Spanish side Badalona.
The session formed part of the club’s programme to prepare the squad physically and technically for the new football season. The team’s preparations in Spain are scheduled to continue until 20 August, with an intensive daily training schedule and a number of friendly matches included in the camp.
Physical conditioning was the main focus at the beginning of Tuesday’s workout. Al Ahly’s fitness coach oversaw a series of exercises designed to improve the players’ physical readiness and raise their fitness levels ahead of the upcoming campaign.
The squad then moved on to technical and tactical work under head coach Houcine Ammouta and his coaching staff. Ammouta remained involved throughout the session, regularly guiding the players and issuing instructions aimed at improving the execution of the team’s planned moves.
Al Ahly will face Badalona on Wednesday as part of their pre-season programme. The match will provide another opportunity for the coaching staff to assess the players’ physical condition and tactical understanding during the Spanish camp.
The Egyptian club will also play Barcelona in the Joan Gamper Trophy on 19 August. That fixture is scheduled to take place shortly before the conclusion of Al Ahly’s stay in Spain on 20 August.
The camp is designed to give the squad a concentrated period of training and friendly competition before the start of the new season. Tuesday’s session therefore combined physical work with tactical exercises, with the coaching staff continuing to focus on ensuring the players are ready to carry out Ammouta’s instructions effectively.
Al Ahly’s meeting with Badalona will be their next scheduled test in Spain, while the match against Barcelona represents the headline fixture of the club’s preparations. The team will continue their daily work at the camp between those matches as they build towards the new campaign.
