Ellyes Skhiri linked with Sevilla move from Eintracht Frankfurt

Ellyes Skhiri, a Tunisia and France midfielder at Eintracht Frankfurt, has been linked with a move to Sevilla FC.

The 31-year-old plays as a defensive midfielder and has been with Frankfurt since joining the Bundesliga club on 5 July 2023. He is contracted to the German side until 30 June 2027.

Skhiri’s possible move to La Liga would see him leave Frankfurt after three seasons at the club, although the rumour does not indicate whether Sevilla have made a formal offer or provide details of any proposed transfer fee.

The midfielder’s current market value is listed at €5m. His contract length means Frankfurt are not facing an immediate decision over his future, with more than a year remaining on his current agreement.

Born in Lunel, France, Skhiri is eligible to represent both France and Tunisia. He was named Tunisia’s Footballer of the Year in 2021.

Skhiri’s experience in the Bundesliga and his established role in defensive midfield form the available background to the reported interest from Sevilla. The proposed switch would take him from Frankfurt’s Bundesliga setting to the Spanish top flight, but the transfer remains at rumour stage. Unless an agreement is reached, he remains an Eintracht Frankfurt player under contract through 30 June 2027.
