Elye Wahi: Nice linked with Frankfurt forward

French-Ivorian forward Elye Wahi is the subject of reported interest from Nice, with the 23-year-old currently at Bundesliga club Frankfurt.

Wahi, who plays as a centre-forward, joined Eintracht Frankfurt on 24 January 2025 and remains under contract until 30 June 2030. The reported link with Nice would represent a move from Germany’s top flight to Ligue 1, the division in which Wahi has previously played.

The Courcouronnes-born striker holds both Ivorian and French nationality and is 1.81m tall. He is right-footed and remains registered with Frankfurt, where his contractual position gives the German club a long-term commitment to the player.

No transfer fee, negotiations or probability of a deal have been specified, and the proposed move has not been confirmed. Nice’s interest therefore remains at the rumour stage.

Wahi’s current market value is listed at €18m, although that figure does not establish a potential asking price or indicate whether talks have taken place between the clubs. Frankfurt signed him in January 2025, and his contract runs for a further four seasons beyond the current campaign.

For now, Wahi remains a Frankfurt player, with his deal at the Bundesliga club set to expire in June 2030.
