Senegal right-back Khabane Sarr joins Guediawaye FC on free transfer
Senegal right-back Khabane Sarr has joined Guediawaye FC from Wally Daan on a free transfer, switching clubs within Ligue 1.
The 21-year-old completed the move on 9 August 2026 and has signed a contract with Guediawaye FC running until 30 June 2028. The agreement gives the defender a two-year stay with the club.
Sarr was born in Guediawaye on 29 March 2005, making his move to the local club a return to his birthplace. He stands at 1.90m and plays primarily on the right side of defence, while his preferred foot is his right.
The transfer brings an end to Sarr’s time with Wally Daan, who he leaves after representing a club from the same Ligue 1 competition. Guediawaye FC have secured his services without paying a transfer fee.
Sarr’s listed market value is €50,000, although that figure is separate from the terms of the completed deal. His arrival adds a young Senegalese defender to Guediawaye FC’s squad, with the player’s height and natural position providing a clear profile at right-back.
The move also keeps Sarr in Senegal’s top-flight football structure, as both Wally Daan and Guediawaye FC compete in Ligue 1. His change of club was finalised shortly before the new contract began and represents a direct domestic switch rather than a move abroad.
Sarr’s registration records him as a defender, with right-back identified as his main position. At 21, he joins Guediawaye FC during the early stage of his senior career and now has a contract in place through the end of June 2028.
Guediawaye FC have therefore completed the free-transfer signing of Khabane Sarr from Wally Daan.
