Schalke 04 sign Junior Dina Ebimbe from Frankfurt

Schalke 04 have completed the permanent signing of Junior Dina Ebimbe from Eintracht Frankfurt, adding another versatile player to their squad.

The 25-year-old midfielder has agreed to a contract in Gelsenkirchen running until 2028, with an option reportedly available to extend the deal by another season.

The transfer is believed to have cost Schalke €700,000 initially, while a further €600,000 could be paid through performance-related bonuses. Frankfurt have also reportedly negotiated a 25 percent sell-on clause.

Ebimbe arrives after rebuilding his confidence during a loan spell at Stade Brest last season. He featured in 27 Ligue 1 matches and scored five goals, performances that helped revive his momentum after a difficult period in Germany.

The Cameroon international can operate in several positions, including as a right wing-back. Schalke sporting director Youri Mulder highlighted his experience, speed and quick decision-making, while stressing that Ebimbe’s physical qualities suit the club’s demanding style of play.

Ebimbe welcomed the move and said he was pleased to return to the Bundesliga with Schalke. He added that the club’s leaders had made their expectations clear and that he was ready to work hard and support the team.
