Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe joins Schalke after Brest loan spell

Cameroon international Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe has joined FC Schalke 04 from Eintracht Frankfurt, with the newly promoted Bundesliga club confirming the midfielder’s arrival on a contract running until June 2028, including an option for a further year.

The 25-year-old returns to Germany after spending last season on loan at Stade Brestois, where he regained regular playing time and further demonstrated his qualities. His move to Schalke marks the beginning of a new stage in his career as the club prepare for their return to Germany’s top flight.

Schalke announced the transfer on their official website. Dina Ebimbe is expected to bring experience and tactical flexibility to a side determined to establish itself in the Bundesliga after promotion.

The Cameroon international can operate in central midfield or in wider positions. He is valued for his work-rate, physical strength and willingness to move forward in support of attacks. Those qualities fit Schalke’s plans to assemble a competitive squad capable of securing its top-flight status.

Dina Ebimbe began his development at Paris Saint-Germain. He has also played for Le Havre and Dijon, before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt. His season with Stade Brestois provided an opportunity to play more regularly and offered him the platform to confirm his ability at senior level.

His reported market value is estimated at 6 million euros.

Schalke will soon begin their Bundesliga campaign against Augsburg. The match will be the club’s first league fixture of the season and will provide an early test of the promoted side’s prospects in the division.

The betting company 1xBet lists Schalke at 2.95 to win, with a draw priced at 3.50 and an Augsburg victory at 2.00.
