Southampton explore move for Karlsruher SC forward Louey Ben Farhat

Tunisian-German forward Louey Ben Farhat, currently with Karlsruher SC, has been linked with a move to Southampton.

The 20-year-old second striker is under contract with the German club until 30 June 2029, meaning Southampton would have to negotiate a deal rather than sign him as a free agent. Ben Farhat’s market value is listed at €10m.

The potential move would take him from Germany’s 2. Bundesliga to the English Championship, with Southampton identified as the club interested in bringing him to England. The link was recorded on 5 August 2026, but there has been no confirmation that an agreement has been reached or that formal negotiations are under way.

Ben Farhat joined Karlsruher SC on 1 January 2025 and has since remained part of the club’s senior set-up. He was born in Waiblingen, Germany, on 19 July 2006 and is eligible to represent both Tunisia and Germany.

He plays primarily behind the main striker and is right-footed. His current valuation has risen to €10m, matching the highest market value recorded for him.

Any move would therefore involve Southampton assessing whether to meet Karlsruher’s valuation while Ben Farhat still has three years remaining on his contract. For now, the player remains a Karlsruher SC player, with the reported Southampton interest yet to develop into a confirmed transfer.
