El Gouna sign Cameroon midfielder Michael Egbimba from La Viena
El Gouna have signed 20-year-old Cameroon midfielder Michael Egbimba from La Viena during the current summer transfer window.
Egbimba spent the past two seasons playing for La Viena in the Egyptian Professional League before completing his move to El Gouna. The coastal club announced the deal as part of its preparations for the new Egyptian Premier League season.
The transfer is El Gouna’s 13th piece of business ahead of the campaign, with the club having completed a combination of new signings and renewed loan agreements. In total, El Gouna have recruited 10 new players and extended the loan arrangements of three others.
The club’s new arrivals are:

Egbimba’s arrival adds another midfield option to a squad undergoing significant preparation for the new season. He joins El Gouna after two seasons in the Professional League with La Viena, although no further details of the length of his contract were announced.
Ahmed Mostafa “Bebo” will remain in charge of El Gouna for a second successive season. The club’s preparations are focused on building on their record points total in the Egyptian Premier League.
El Gouna finished last season in 11th place with 46 points. That tally was the highest the club have achieved during any of their campaigns in Egypt’s top flight.
The club’s recruitment programme has included players from a number of Egyptian sides, with Ceramica Cleopatra providing the largest group of new additions. El Gouna have also strengthened their squad with players from Haras El Hodoud, Petrojet, ENPPI, Pyramids and Modern Sport.
The signing of Egbimba is the latest move in a busy summer for El Gouna as they prepare to compete in the forthcoming Egyptian Premier League season under Mostafa.
