Veszprem beat Fuchse Berlin as Egypt’s players score 14; Yahya Khaled nets 10 for PSG

Veszprem claimed a 35-29 away victory over Fuchse Berlin in the second round of the preliminary phase of the Champions League, with Egypt’s four representatives contributing 14 goals.

The Hungarian side maintained their perfect record after two matches in Group A, securing an important win on German soil.

Yahya El-Deraa, Ali Zein, Ahmed Hesham “Dodo” and Ahmed Adel “Dola” all featured for Veszprem. Dodo was the team’s leading Egyptian scorer with seven goals, while Ali Zein added three. Dola and El-Deraa each scored twice.

Group A also includes Portuguese side Porto and Serbian club Partizan, alongside Veszprem and Fuchse Berlin.

Veszprem’s next match will be against Partizan on 7 October.

Yahya Khaled stars for Paris Saint-Germain

Yahya Khaled scored 10 goals as Paris Saint-Germain defeated Dinamo Zagreb 34-30.

The Egypt international’s contribution helped the French club move to three points and the top of the group.

A total of 24 teams are competing across six groups for places in the main round. The top two teams in each group will progress, producing 12 qualifiers who will then be divided between two groups.
