Talaea El-Gaish sign Togo forward Koumi Arnaud Komlavi
Tala’ea El-Gaish have completed the signing of Togo international Koumi Arnaud Komlavi on a two-year contract.
The 25-year-old has joined the Egyptian club as a free agent after his contract with Togolese side Kara expired. He can play as a winger or a forward and has represented Togo at international level.
According to FilGoal.com, Komlavi has signed the necessary documents to complete his move to Tala’ea El-Gaish, with the deal running for two seasons.
Komlavi began his career with Togolese clubs Dynamic Togolais, Omni Sports de l’Entente and OTR before later joining Kara. His move to Tala’ea El-Gaish represents his first professional experience outside Togo.
He has made three appearances for the Togo national team and scored once. His goal came in a friendly victory against Benin in June.
Komlavi was also named the best player of the opening round of the Togolese league last season, according to a local website. He has won the Togolese league title in each of the past two seasons.
The signing is the latest addition to Tala’ea El-Gaish’s squad during the summer transfer window. The club have also brought in Mahmoud Shabana from Al Ittihad Alexandria, Mohamed Ashraf “Roqa” from Haras El Hodoud and Zaghloul Mohamed from Tanta.
Several players have left the club during the same period. Ali Hamdy, Mohamed Shaaban and Jordanian player Ghaith Al-Madadha departed Tala’ea El-Gaish this summer.
Tala’ea El-Gaish finished last season’s Egyptian league campaign ninth in the relegation-avoidance group, collecting 37 points. The arrival of Komlavi gives the side another attacking option as they prepare for the new season.
His ability to operate both out wide and through the middle is expected to add flexibility to the team’s forward line, while his recent international involvement and domestic success with Kara provide further experience to the squad.
Komlavi’s move was completed after the end of his contract with Kara, meaning Tala’ea El-Gaish did not have to pay a transfer fee for the Togo international. The player now joins the club following a period in which he won consecutive Togolese league titles and established himself as an international player.
