Hassane Adamou swaps Gibraltar for Morocco in RCA Zemamra move

Niger-Nigerian midfielder Hassane Adamou has joined Moroccan club RCA Zemamra from St Joseph’s FC, bringing his spell in Gibraltar to an end.

The 26-year-old central midfielder completed the move on 17 September 2026 and will continue his career in Morocco’s Botola Pro Inwi. Adamou leaves St Joseph’s after just over a year with the Gibraltar Football League club, having arrived there from Spanish side CD Pozoblanco in July 2025.

Adamou made his move to St Joseph’s as a free transfer. He had previously joined Pozoblanco without a fee from Penya Deportiva in February 2025, following an earlier spell at Lorca Deportiva.

Born in Niamey, Adamou holds Nigerien and Nigerian nationality. He is a right-footed midfielder and stands at 1.90m, with central midfield listed as his primary position.

His career in Spain also included time with Burgos Promesas, Atletico Sanluqueno, Ourense and CD Mirandes B. He began that sequence with Mirandes B in 2019 after leaving Gibraltar-based club Giant Brillars.

Adamou’s latest move takes him into a new domestic competition after his time in Spain and Gibraltar. RCA Zemamra are his first Moroccan club, while the switch also places him in the Botola Pro Inwi for the 2026-27 season.

He had not yet made an appearance for St Joseph’s in the 2026-27 Gibraltar Football League campaign before leaving. He was also without an appearance in the Pepe Reyes Cup and UEFA Conference League qualifying during the same campaign.

The transfer represents the latest change in a career that has included nine clubs since 2019. Adamou’s previous moves, including his transfers to St Joseph’s, Pozoblanco, Penya Deportiva, Lorca Deportiva, Burgos Promesas, Atletico Sanluqueno and Ourense, were completed without a transfer fee.

RCA Zemamra have now secured Adamou’s services, with the midfielder officially switching from St Joseph’s FC to the Moroccan club.
