Antonio Nusa transfer: Newcastle linked with Leipzig winger
Norwegian-Nigerian winger Antonio Nusa is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with a move from Leipzig to Newcastle.
Nusa, 21, has been with Leipzig since August 2024, when he joined from Club Brugge in a deal worth €21m. The left winger has a contract with the Bundesliga club until 30 June 2029 and is valued at €32m.
He has made 56 Bundesliga appearances for Leipzig, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists. Nusa has also played in the Champions League during his career, making 12 appearances and scoring once.
The proposed move would take him to the Premier League, with Newcastle identified as the club pursuing the Norway international. Nusa was born in Langhus and has represented Norway at international level, while his listed nationalities also include Nigeria.
Before moving to Germany, Nusa spent three seasons at Club Brugge, where he won the Belgian title twice. He also helped the Belgian club win the Belgian Super Cup in 2022-23.
Nusa’s current status at Leipzig means any transfer would involve a fee rather than a free move, with his existing contract running for a further three seasons beyond the current campaign.
