Hossam Essadak: Lausanne-Sport sign Morocco midfielder from Union Touarga
Morocco attacking midfielder Hossam Essadak has joined Swiss Super League side Lausanne-Sport from Union Touarga, adding a player with senior and youth international honours to the club’s squad.
The move was completed on 31 July 2026, taking the 21-year-old out of Morocco’s Botola Pro Inwi and into Switzerland’s top division. No transfer fee has been disclosed.
Essadak played 37 league matches in the Botola Pro Inwi, scoring three goals and providing four assists. He also recorded a goal and an assist in five appearances in the Moroccan Throne Cup, while contributing another assist in the Excellence Cup.
He has been used primarily as an attacking midfielder and is left-footed. Born in Casablanca, Essadak stands 1.80m tall and joined Union Touarga from AM Football in January 2024 on a free transfer.
His record with Morocco includes a triumph at the 2024-25 African Nations Championship. He was also part of the Morocco Under-20 side that won the 2025 Under-20 World Cup, giving him experience of success at both senior and youth international level.
Essadak’s arrival marks his first move outside Morocco after establishing himself in the domestic game with Union Touarga. Lausanne-Sport will now become his first club in the Swiss Super League, with the midfielder switching from the Botola Pro Inwi to a new national competition.
The transfer also brings Essadak to a club whose national team is listed as FC Lausanne-Sport, linking his new league career with a side based in Lausanne. His recorded market value is €1m, while no contract expiry date has been stated.
Essadak joins Lausanne-Sport as a Moroccan international with experience across domestic cup and league football, as well as major African and global youth tournaments. His statistical record in Morocco includes 49 appearances across the listed league and cup competitions, with four goals and six assists, alongside two further appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The midfielder’s move from Union Touarga to Lausanne-Sport was completed on 31 July 2026.
