Lesotho goalkeeper Sekhoane Moerane joins Botswana club Jwaneng

Lesotho goalkeeper Sekhoane Moerane has joined Botswana club Jwaneng after leaving South African side Orbit College.

The 28-year-old completed the move on 31 July 2026, adding experience in goal to Jwaneng’s squad. Moerane, who was born on 18 September 1997, joins the Botswana club after spending the previous part of his career with Orbit College.

Moerane moved to Orbit College from Lesotho club LMPS in January 2024. That switch followed his time in domestic football in Lesotho, before he continued his career across the border in South Africa.

His latest transfer represents a further change of country for the goalkeeper, who now moves from South Africa to Botswana. Jwaneng becomes the third club recorded in Moerane’s senior career, following his spells with LMPS and Orbit College.

Moerane’s current market value is listed at €100,000, while his highest recorded value has been €150,000. He joins Jwaneng in his established position as a goalkeeper, with the move taking effect at the beginning of the 2026-27 season.

The transfer also marks a return to the regional football landscape for a player whose previous move took him from Lesotho to South Africa. His arrival at Jwaneng continues a career path that has so far included clubs from three southern African countries: Lesotho, South Africa and Botswana.

Moerane’s move from Orbit College to Jwaneng was completed on 31 July 2026.
