Angers forward Harouna Djibirin remains on Club Bruges’ radar

Club Bruges have reopened discussions over a possible move for SCO Angers forward Harouna Djibirin, with the Cameroon international continuing to attract interest from the Belgian club’s sporting decision-makers, according to Samir Djabali.

Club Bruges have not abandoned their interest in the attacking player and have recently resumed talks concerning a potential transfer. No concrete offer has yet been reported, but the Belgian side is understood to be assessing whether to make a formal approach for the player.

Djibirin mainly operates on the right side of the attack, where his pace and direct style have made him an appealing option for Club Bruges. He is also valued for his ability to take on opponents and create a difference in one-on-one situations.

Those qualities are considered a strong match for what Club Bruges are looking for in attack. The player’s speed allows him to threaten from wide areas, while his ability to beat defenders offers an additional source of attacking penetration.

Djibirin remains under contract with SCO Angers until 30 June 2028 and is regarded as an important member of the French club’s squad. His long-term agreement gives Angers a strong contractual position, although the club’s hierarchy is not expected to automatically rule out a departure.

The player is valued at €1.5m by Transfermarkt, a figure that has helped contribute to growing interest in his services. Club Bruges must now determine whether to advance their pursuit with a bid for the Cameroon international.
