Algeria-France centre-forward Mehdi Ouamri has joined the ranks of unattached players after leaving South African club TS Galaxy FC.

The 26-year-old’s move away from the Betway Premiership side was recorded on 31 July 2026, bringing his time with TS Galaxy to an end. No transfer fee was attached to the move.

Ouamri made 15 appearances for TS Galaxy, providing one assist. He arrived at the club in September 2025 after leaving Union Omaha, where he had joined earlier that year following a free transfer from Chattanooga FC.

His spell in the United States included 27 MLS Next Pro appearances and 12 goals, as well as four assists. Ouamri’s previous move to Union Omaha came after a short period with Chattanooga FC, which he joined from Croatia’s NK Solin in February 2024.

The striker began that 2023-24 campaign with Montana, moving to NK Solin on a free transfer in August 2023. Earlier in his career, he spent time with Belgian clubs Patro Eisden, Olympic Charleroi and Standard’s under-21 side, as well as Luxembourgian club F91 Dudelange.

Born in Ivry-sur-Seine, France, Ouamri is listed as holding Algerian and French nationality. He stands 1.85m tall and favours his right foot.

Across the competitions recorded in his career, he has scored 32 goals in 136 appearances, with 17 assists. His most productive recorded spell came in MLS Next Pro, where he averaged a goal every 174 minutes.

Ouamri’s departure leaves him without a club as he enters the next stage of his career. His last recorded club appearance came during the 2025-26 season with TS Galaxy.

The completed move from TS Galaxy FC to the unattached-player market took place on 31 July 2026.
