Emerging Mali duo Daff and Coulibaly secure European moves to Denmark and Poland

Teenage midfielder Mohamed Ousmane Daff has signed a five-year deal with FC Nordsjælland, while fellow Mali youth international Lamine Coulibaly has completed a switch to Slask Wrocław, as two of the country’s rising talents secure long-term futures in Europe.

Daff, 18, joins Danish Superliga side FC Nordsjælland from Racing Club d’Abidjan after agreeing his first professional contract, which runs until 30 June 2031. The move to Denmark’s top flight had been trailed for several months and has now been confirmed by his Ivorian club.

Racing Club d’Abidjan announced the transfer on their official Instagram account, confirming that the Malian midfielder has left the academy where he was developed to begin his senior career in Europe. The long-term agreement underlines FC Nordsjælland’s faith in the youngster’s potential.

No financial details of the deal were disclosed, but the length of the contract makes Daff one of the more firmly tied-down prospects at the club, who have built a reputation for recruiting and developing young African players.

Coulibaly heads to Poland after ŁKS Łodz exit

Elsewhere, Mali Under-23 international Lamine Coulibaly has joined Slask Wrocław following the expiry of his contract with ŁKS Łodz.

The 21-year-old, a versatile left winger, arrives on a free transfer at the Ekstraklasa club after leaving ŁKS Łodz at the end of his previous deal. His move was announced via the official social media channels of Slask Wrocław’s youth set-up.

Coulibaly’s switch to Wrocław is being viewed as a significant next step in his early professional journey, offering him a fresh opportunity to establish himself in Poland’s top division.

According to Africafoot, the wide player had also attracted interest from Lechia Gdansk before opting to sign for Slask Wrocław. The report suggests that competition for his signature reflected his growing reputation within the Polish game.

Both moves underline the continued demand for emerging Malian talent across European leagues, as Daff prepares for life in Denmark’s top tier and Coulibaly looks to make his mark in the Ekstraklasa with Slask Wrocław.
