JS Soualem sign Morocco midfielder Mohamed Yassine Al Asghar on free transfer
Morocco midfielder Mohamed Yassine Al Asghar has joined JS Soualem from FUS Espoirs on a free transfer, adding a 21-year-old defensive midfielder to the Moroccan club’s squad.
Al Asghar completed the move on 18 September 2026 and has agreed a contract with JS Soualem running until 30 June 2029. He becomes part of the first-team squad after progressing through FUS’s youth structure and spending the 2025-26 season with FUS Espoirs.
The right-footed midfielder began his development with FUS Youth before moving into the FUS Under-19 side on 1 July 2023. A year later, on 1 July 2024, he stepped up to FUS Espoirs, where he continued his progression before making the switch to JS Soualem.
Al Asghar has already made two appearances in the Excellence Cup, playing 122 minutes and scoring once. His minutes-per-goal figure in the competition is also recorded as 122, giving him a goal contribution from his limited early-season involvement.
The move keeps the Casablanca-born player in Moroccan football as he begins the next stage of his senior career. His role is listed as defensive midfield, while his preferred foot is right, providing a clear description of the position and style of play he brings to JS Soualem.
Al Asghar’s arrival follows a three-year path through the FUS system, from the club’s youth ranks to its Under-19 team and then the Espoirs side. The transfer represents his first move away from FUS since joining its youth setup, with JS Soualem now his new club.
The free transfer was completed on 18 September 2026, with Al Asghar contracted to JS Soualem until 30 June 2029.
