Vinicius Jr set for crucial new contract talks with Real Madrid

Vinicius Jr is heading into a decisive round of contract talks with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez after returning from the FIFA World Cup, with both sides still apart on key financial details.

According to Ramon Alvarez de Mon, Madrid have put forward an offer worth around 20 million euros net per season. However, Vinicius’ camp believe his impact on the pitch and commercial value justify a significantly higher salary, leaving a gap of roughly 6–10 million euros between the proposals.

A face-to-face meeting between the Brazilian forward and Perez is expected to be central in determining whether they can move closer. For now, there is no sign that an agreement has been reached, and the negotiations are described as entering a crucial phase.

Madrid remain determined not to break their established wage structure, fearing that lifting Vinicius to a new pay level could complicate future renewals for other stars. Even so, the club are hopeful of a positive outcome and accept that both sides will need to compromise for a new deal to be signed.
