Bruno Paz: Angolan midfielder linked with Olympiakos N. move from Otelul Galati

Angola and Portugal dual-national midfielder Bruno Paz of Otelul Galati is being linked with a move to Cypriot side Olympiakos N. in the Cyprus League.

The 28-year-old defensive midfielder, who joined Romanian SuperLiga club Otelul Galati in January 2026, is under contract until June 2028 but is attracting interest after re-establishing himself in Eastern Europe. Olympiakos N. are understood to be monitoring his situation closely as they assess experienced midfield options for the new season.

Paz, born in Barreiro on 23 April 1998 and standing at 1.82m, has a market value of around €300,000, a figure that would make him a relatively affordable target for clubs outside Europe’s top five leagues. Any deal, however, would require Otelul to be persuaded to part with a player they acquired on a free transfer from Moldovan side Zimbru Chisinau earlier this year.

Before moving to Romania, Paz accumulated experience in Turkey’s Super Lig with Konyaspor and in Portugal’s Liga Portugal 2, where he made more than 50 appearances. His senior career has been shaped largely as a defensive midfielder, and he has also featured in European competition at youth level.

Most recently, Paz has added minutes in Romania’s top flight and the domestic cup, building on a spell at Zimbru that included league and cup outings in Moldova. With two years left on his Otelul deal, the Romanian club are in a strong contractual position as Olympiakos N. weigh up whether to formalise their interest.
