Soufiane Benjdida: Al Ahly eye move for Moroccan champion forward from MAS Fes
Moroccan striker Soufiane Benjdida of MAS Fes is being linked with a move to Egyptian giants Al Ahly, with the Cairo club weighing up a deal for the 24-year-old centre-forward.
Benjdida, who was born in Casablanca and wears the No 9 shirt for MAS, is understood to be on Al Ahlys shortlist as they look to strengthen their attack ahead of the new Premier League campaign. The probability of a move has been placed at just under 50%, indicating that the deal remains at an exploratory stage rather than imminent.
Under contract with MAS Fes until 30 June 2030, Benjdida would likely command a significant fee after his rapid rise in value to around 2.2 million. Any negotiations are expected to be complicated by the length of his deal and his importance to the Moroccan champions.
Since returning to his homeland with MAS Fes in August 2025 after a spell in Belgium with Standard Liege and RWDM, Benjdida has become one of the standout forwards in the Botola Pro Inwi. He hit 20 league goals in the 2025-26 season, finishing as the divisions top scorer and helping MAS secure the Moroccan title.
Across his Botola Pro career, he has registered 30 goals in 72 appearances, underlining the consistent scoring record that has drawn Al Ahlys attention. He has also gained experience in continental competition, featuring and scoring in the CAF Champions League.
Benjdidas emergence as a champion and leading scorer in Morocco has strengthened MAS Fess position at the negotiating table, with the club under no pressure to sell while he remains tied to a long-term contract.
