Yanis Cimignani: Venezia linked with move for FC Lugano winger

France-Burkina Faso midfielder Yanis Cimignani, currently at FC Lugano, has been linked with a move to Serie A side Venezia as the Italian club explore options on the left flank.

Cimignani, 24, is a left-footed left midfielder whose market value is currently listed at 2m, reflecting his status as one of Luganos more prominent attacking players in the Swiss Super League.

Born in Lyon in January 2002 and standing at 1.76m, he has developed a reputation as a wide midfielder capable of operating high on the left side, a profile that would offer Venezia a different option in wide areas.

The winger joined Lugano from French side AC Ajaccio in July 2023, moving to Switzerland after progressing through the Corsican clubs ranks and breaking into their first team.

His value rose steadily during his time with Ajaccio, reaching 2m in mid-2022 before fluctuating, then climbing again following his switch to Lugano, where it returned to 2m in June 2026.

Cimignani holds both French and Burkinabe nationality, adding potential long-term upside for a Venezia squad looking to blend youth and experience in Serie A.

No agreement has been announced between Lugano and Venezia, and the rumour remains at an early stage based on current indications.
