Karim El Debes: Egyptian left-back at Al Ahly linked with Dinamo Makhachkala move

Egyptian defender Karim El Debes, currently at Al Ahly, has been linked with a potential move to Russian Premier Liga side Dinamo Makhachkala.

The 23-year-old left-back, who prefers to play on his left foot and stands at 1.76m, has returned to the Al Ahly first-team squad ahead of the new campaign after spending last season on loan at Cleopatra FC.

El Debess market value is currently listed at 200,000, having trended down over the second half of last season following a spell at Cleopatra where his valuation fell from 350,000 to 200,000 between December 2025 and May 2026.

The Shibin El Qanater-born defender has been part of the Al Ahly setup since moving from Wadi Degla in October 2022, initially joining the clubs U21 side before stepping up to the senior team in July 2023.

His most recent transfer activity saw him loaned from Al Ahly to Cleopatra in July 2025, with that deal ending in June 2026 as he returned to the Cairo giants ahead of interest from Dinamo Makhachkala.

El Debes is listed with Egypt as his nationality and is recognised primarily as a left-back, offering defensive cover on that flank for club and potentially for any future move to the Russian top flight.

No agreement has been reported between Al Ahly and Dinamo Makhachkala, and the defender remains an Al Ahly player while the rumour links him with a possible switch to the Premier Liga.
