Kamel Kaboria: Modern Sport sign Egyptian winger from Proxy FC in permanent deal

Modern Sport have completed the signing of Egyptian right winger Kamel Kaboria from fellow Egyptian side Proxy FC in a permanent transfer dated 6 July 2026.

Kaboria, 29, joins the Premier League club as a left-footed attacker who operates primarily on the right flank. The move keeps him in Egyptian football, with Modern Sport adding an experienced domestic player in the prime years of his career.

The Egypt-born winger arrives after two separate spells on the books of Proxy FC. He first joined the club on loan from Zed FC in October 2022 before that switch ended with his return to Zed in July 2023. He then re-signed for Proxy FC on a permanent basis from Petrojet on 1 October 2024, remaining there until this latest transfer to Modern Sport.

Before his time at Proxy FC and Petrojet, Kaboria spent two seasons with Zed FC following a move from El Minya SC in September 2021. His career has therefore been built entirely within the Egyptian league system, progressing from El Minya to a succession of top-flight and ambitious clubs.

Kaborias arrival continues a period of frequent movement in his career, with this transfer marking his fourth club change since 2021 and his third permanent move in Egypts upper tiers. His ability to play as a left-footed right winger offers Modern Sport an additional attacking option from wide areas.

The transfer further strengthens Modern Sports attacking depth ahead of the 202627 Egyptian Premier League campaign.
