Alex Opoku Sarfo: Ghanaian Aris Limassol midfielder linked with move to Charleroi SC

Ghanaian midfielder Alex Opoku Sarfo of Aris Limassol has been linked with a move to Belgian side R Charleroi SC in the Jupiler Pro League.

The 21-year-old defensive midfielder, who is right-footed and stands at 1.88m, has seen his reputation rise steadily in recent seasons, with his current market value listed at 1m.

Sarfo joined Aris Limassol in 2023 from Ghanaian club Benab Football Club and has since gained experience in Cypriot football as well as in Russia with FC Pari Nizhniy Novgorod, where he spent time on loan.

His market value has increased significantly from 25,000 in 2022 to its current level, reflecting his development during spells with AEZ Zakaki, Aris Limassol and FC Pari Nizhniy Novgorod.

Sarfos most recent move saw him return to Aris Limassol in June 2026 following the end of his loan in Russia, positioning the Cypriot club to decide on his next step amid interest from Charleroi.

The transfer remains at the rumour stage, with no agreement announced between Aris Limassol and Charleroi SC.
