Moroccan striker Walid Azaro extends Ajman contract
UAE side Ajman Club have officially announced the contract renewal of Moroccan international striker Walid Azaro for two additional seasons.
The new agreement will keep the experienced forward at the club until the summer of 2028, although the financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Smooth Negotiations Between Both Parties
Ajman team manager Mohammed Hussein confirmed that negotiations with the Moroccan striker progressed smoothly due to the strong desire from both sides to continue their successful partnership.
According to Hussein, Azaro received interest from clubs outside the United Arab Emirates, but ultimately chose to remain with Ajman because of the stability and comfort he has enjoyed at the club over the past five seasons.
“The player expressed a clear desire to continue with Ajman despite interest from clubs outside the country in acquiring his services,” Mohammed Hussein told Emirates Today.
He added that the striker valued the technical and psychological stability he experienced within the club, which helped both parties conclude the renewal agreement early.
Azaro Remains Key Figure for Next Season
Mohammed Hussein also described Walid Azaro as one of the central pillars of the team heading into next season.
He praised the Moroccan forward for his experience, finishing ability, and influence inside the dressing room, highlighting his importance both on and off the pitch.
“Walid Azaro represents one of the main pillars that the technical staff and management rely on in building the team for next season, due to his great experience and distinctive ability to deal with opportunities in front of the goal,” Hussein explained.
The club official also emphasised the striker’s leadership qualities and his ability to handle different match situations, qualities that continue to make him an important figure within the squad.
Impressive Form Rewarded With New Deal
Azaro’s contract extension comes after another strong campaign in the UAE league, where the Moroccan attacker continued to showcase his quality and consistency in front of goal.
The former Al Ahly SC striker remains one of Ajman’s most experienced players as the club prepares for the upcoming season with ambitions of improving its performances in domestic competitions.
