We will fight our way back to the Premier League – Ismaily SC vow after relegation
Ismaily SC have reaffirmed their determination to remain among Egypt’s top-flight clubs despite the team’s confirmed relegation to the Second Division.
In an official statement released on Thursday, the club said the current committee remains committed to defending Ismaily’s right to stay in the Premier League while continuing efforts to protect the future of the historic side.
The club noted that the administration is working closely with the club’s supporters, who remain eager to see the “Darawish” maintain their place among the country’s elite teams. The statement added that the fight against relegation is a concern shared by many traditional clubs facing similar challenges.
Ismaily also dismissed recent rumours surrounding the club, claiming there are deliberate attempts to destabilise the institution and damage its image. The administration insisted it remains focused on preserving the club’s historic identity.
The statement further explained that the committee is open to investment opportunities and potential partnerships linked to the football company, but only under clear conditions that fully protect the club’s rights. Particular emphasis was placed on safeguarding the club’s historical licence recognised by both the Egyptian Football Association and FIFA.
According to the club, any final decision on investment or partnership matters will be left to an extraordinary general assembly, which holds the authority to decide on such issues.
Ismaily concluded by stressing that the committee will continue carrying out its responsibilities alongside the club’s fans and supporters until any official decision is made regarding a change in administration or the calling of new elections.
