Hull City and Blackburn Rovers express interest in Yassine Benhattab
Hull City and Blackburn Rovers have expressed firm interest in Morocco international Yassine Benhattab ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old attacker, currently contracted to Nantes until 2028, has emerged as a target for the two Championship sides, both of whom are keen to strengthen their attacking options.
Hull, in particular, are pushing for promotion and view the winger as a potential asset capable of adding pace and unpredictability in the final third.
Benhattab spent the second half of the season on loan at Stade de Reims, where flashes of his explosive ability were evident despite modest returns. The winger managed just one goal and no assists in 22 appearances across all competitions, a record that does not fully reflect his influence or attacking intent on the pitch.
Reims hold a €5 million option to make the move permanent, but uncertainty surrounds their ability to complete the deal. With the club set to battle through the Ligue 2 play-offs in pursuit of promotion, failure to secure a return to the top flight could significantly weaken their financial position and negotiating power.
Beyond England, interest has also surfaced in Germany, with Hannover 96 and FC Schalke 04 reportedly keeping tabs on the winger’s situation.
As the summer window approaches, Benhattab finds himself at a crossroads. While his numbers this season may not leap off the page, his raw talent and potential continue to attract attention, setting the stage for a possible multi-club battle for his signature.
