Shouky Gharib meets Egypt’s youth national team staff to set out plans for next stage

Shouky Gharib, the Egyptian Football Association’s technical director, has met the technical, administrative and medical staff responsible for Egypt’s national teams at the National Teams Centre.

The meeting was held as part of the association’s efforts to monitor the preparations of the country’s various national sides and ensure they have the right conditions to meet their objectives in the coming period.

Gharib used the meeting to outline the importance of the work ahead and to communicate the Egyptian Football Association board’s commitment to supporting the national teams and their staff. The board is chaired by Hany Abou Rida.

He said the association was determined to provide all forms of backing and assistance required to help the teams achieve their ambitions and secure the results they are seeking. The broader aim, he stressed, is to deliver the success expected by everyone involved with Egypt’s national sides.

A central theme of the meeting was the need for the different departments to operate as one team. Gharib called for close co-operation and co-ordination between the technical, administrative and medical staff working with the national teams.

That joint approach is intended to create the best possible environment for the players and help raise the standard of Egypt’s teams across the different age groups. It is also designed to support the development of players capable of strengthening the senior Egypt national team.

Producing future senior internationals was identified as the principal objective shared by all of Egypt’s national teams at youth level. The work carried out with the younger age groups is therefore intended not only to produce results in their own competitions, but also to contribute to the long-term development of the country’s footballers.

Gharib also urged every member of the various teams’ staff to give maximum effort in pursuit of success. He underlined the need for complete commitment and discipline in their work, saying that representing Egypt carries major responsibility and demands the highest levels of seriousness and concentration.

The technical director said the national teams must seek to present the best possible image of Egyptian football at international and continental events and competitions. He also emphasised the importance of ensuring that Egypt’s teams are represented in a manner befitting the country’s name and football history.

The meeting concluded with a renewed focus on the significance of the next stage. Gharib stressed that all parts of the national-team structure must work together and maintain their efforts to achieve the required results and targets.

The overall objective is to strengthen Egypt’s national teams across the different age categories, develop players for the senior side and uphold the country’s reputation at international and continental level.
