Amine Benhachem linked with Kawkab Marrakech coaching job
Former Wydad Casablanca head coach Mohamed Amine Benhachem is on the verge of making a rapid comeback to the Moroccan Professional League following his recent departure from the club.
Wydad parted ways with Benhachem after a dip in performances and their elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup, subsequently appointing Patrice Carteron as his replacement.
According to reports from a close source, Benhachem has emerged as a strong candidate to return to the league this season, with Kawkab Marrakech identified as a possible destination.
The club is currently grappling with internal tensions, particularly between technical director Hicham Dmii and sporting director Zaid Belinda.
“The president of Kawkab Marrakech, Idris Hanifa, stood by Belinda in front of Dami’i, amid silent tension within the club.”
Amid the unrest, the Marrakech-based side has begun exploring coaching alternatives to replace Dmii, with Benhachem’s name reportedly high on the shortlist. His availability, following the end of his stint with Wydad, is seen as a key factor in the club’s interest.
Kawkab Marrakech currently sit 10th in the league standings with 16 points as they look to stabilise their campaign.
