Achraf Hakimi open to Real Madrid return
Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi is reportedly open to returning to his boyhood club, Real Madrid.
According to Radio Marca journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon, the Paris Saint-Germain defender is willing to push for the move.
“Achraf Hakimi wants to return to Real Madrid and is ready to take action to complete the deal,” he wrote on his X account.
He further noted that while Hakimi’s current contract, which runs until 2029, presents a challenge, the improving relationship between Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain could play a key role in facilitating negotiations.
Hakimi’s contract, which runs until 2029, complicates the process, but the recent improvement in relations between Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain may support the negotiations.
Relations between the two clubs have reportedly improved after Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi reconciled following the collapse of the Super League project.
Hakimi, who came through Real Madrid’s academy, left the club to join Inter Milan after a successful loan spell at Borussia Dortmund.
The potential reunion could also be influenced by the presence of French forward Kylian Mbappé at the Santiago Bernabéu, given the strong relationship between the two players.
Despite his reported desire to return to Real Madrid, Hakimi is focused on a strong finish to the season with PSG.
