CAF Champions League: We dominated AS FAR – Pyramids coach Krunoslav Jurcic

Pyramids coach Krunoslav Jurcic has expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance in their 1-1 draw against AS FAR in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.

Speaking after the match, Jurcic highlighted his side’s resilience after falling behind in the first half. He praised the players for controlling possession and creating chances to level the score.

The Croatian tactician noted that Pyramids were stronger in the second half, successfully imposing their style of play and maintaining extended periods of possession, which ultimately led to the equalizer.

Jurcic also pointed out that AS FAR relied heavily on long balls—a strategy that does not favor Pyramids’ style—but he commended his squad for managing the threat effectively and keeping the game under control.

He concluded by underlining that securing a draw away from home is a positive outcome ahead of the return leg in Cairo.
